Each year, Engineering News-Record (ENR) assembles a ‘Best Projects’ list that highlights some of the very best construction projects across the United States and Puerto Rico. For it’s 2016 list, ENR selected Value Plastics as one of its Mountain States award winners.
The facility, a medical-injection molding manufacturing and office building was constructed in Loveland, Colorado. According to the article, Value Plastics operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Thermomass-insulated concrete panels were used to create open, durable, energy-efficient spaces throughout the office and production spaces.
The Thermomass exterior…is a concrete-insulation system used in precast, tilt-up and cast-in-place applications. An insulated sandwich panel system is layered with a structural wythe, insulation and a face wythe. The system provides Value Plastics with a highly energy-efficient building with no visible insulation or paneling in the interior manufacturing space.
