The patented Thermomass MS-T Series connector is a standard MS Series tie that has been specially modified so that it may be easily drilled into rigid insulation without the use of pre-punched insulation sheets.
The connector has two distinct ends, one with a typical dovetail and the other with a threaded tip. Also, the molded serrated collar typical of the MC/MS series has been replaced by molded threads.
This proven connector technology offers the strength and integrity that customers have trusted for years with the added cost-saving convenience of insulation shipped directly to the contractor, complete with a pre-printed guide for easy connector installation. With the use of a cordless drill and a pre-printed guide on the Grid Board insulation, the connectors are installed quickly and easily.
Additionally, the unique design of the MS-T connector ensures a clear anchorage point in the concrete. This is of great importance, as with all sandwich wall wythe connectors, anchorage is critical to lifting the panel and to its long-term performance. Simply put, if the anchorage point is interfered with by displaced foam, the capacity of the connector is compromised.
