The Otago Daily Times showcases a lakeside home near Cromwell, New Zealand. Built using precast concrete panels and Thermomass insulation, the modern house features stunning views of the nearby hills.
The owners were interested in sustainable design, so the home features a number of environmentally-friendly touches, including Thermomass products.
The Thermomass panels have polystyrene encapsulated within two layers of concrete, giving significant thermal mass inside the home and good insulation. The painted panels and stonework are also used inside the house, which was a winner in the recent Southern Architecture Awards.
