The THERMOMASS C-Wall Insulation System consists of specially fabricated boards of STYROFOAM extruded polystyrene insulation and composite connectors. The system is used in composite concrete wall panels where the inner and outer wythes of concrete work together to share the structural load.

The system is manufactured and marketed by Composite Technologies Corporation.

This system is designed for use in prestressed concrete sandwich panels. It dramatically reduces the thermal loss in the panel without compromising the structural integrity of the design. STYROFOAM insulation is a closed-cell, rigid plastic foam manufactured exclusively by The Dow Chemical Company. In this application, it is extruded with smooth, high-density skins, which make it virtually moisture resistant, so it maintains R-value when subjected to the high moisture of the concrete panel manufacturing process.
